Music Ministry

     At Starview United Church of Christ, there are many opportunities to share the Good News and serve the Lord through the offering of one's musical gifts. Some folks share their talent by singing in one or more of the various choirs, directed by our Minister of Music, while others share an occasional instrumental piece or solo. Below is a brief description of the various musical groups, as well as a schedule of anticipated offerings of special music.

Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir is an enthusiastic group that sings regularly in worship. They offer a variety of genres ranging from very traditional to Southern Gospel. Their pieces are always consistent with the focus scripture and worship theme on that particular Sunday. They practice primarily on Thursday evenings at 6:30 PM.

ReSound

ReSound is a hand-chime choir, with it's members ranging in age from middle school to adulthood. This choir, too, plays quite often in worship and almost always for special services. For example, at the 7:00 PM Christmas Eve Candlelight Service, they offered five separate pieces. Practice times and days may vary dependent upon the date they will be playing.
