Safe Sanctuary
At Starview United Church of Christ, we take seriously Jesus' words, "Let the little children come to me". We believe that the church should be a safe place where all God's children receive unconditional love, so they can grow and thrive in mind, body, and spirit. While we understand it is unlikely that we will always recognize the signs of abuse a person may be suffering or can completely prevent child abuse, we do believe it is possible for us to greatly reduce the risk by following a thorough practical policy of prevention. The Safe Sanctuary Policy of Starview UCC is our attempt to do just that - most especially for children, youth, and vulnerable adults.
