The Penn Central Conference (PCC) is comprised of 8 associations: Central, Gettysburg, Harrisburg, Lancaster, Lebanon, Mercersburg, Northern, and York, which totals 204 congregations located within 19 counties, covering Central PA and ranging from New York to Maryland. Churches are suburban, small town, and rural. Included too, in the PCC, are approximately 410 authorized ministers.
The mission of the PCC is to further the life, work, witness, and fellowship of member churches; to work with other denominations and religious agencies to further the work of Christian Church; to serve as a liaison - connecting local churches and associations with one another and with the national General Synod; to provide counsel to churches and ministers; to assist churches and ministers in developing programs, and to serve as an advisory counsel to local churches when seeking to call a minister.
The PCC also oversees an active Outdoor Ministry Program, which is much, much more than a "church camp", as it is used by a variety of organizations - religious and secular. It serves as a camp, conference, and retreat center. The Outdoor Ministry Program is directed out of Hartman Center, Milroy, PA.
